How to Explore Your Project on Your Tablet
If you’ve received your BIMx 3D model you can walk through your new space at your own pace. Follow this quick guide to get started.
1. Setup
Download the BIMx app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Tap the link you’ve been sent you to download the project file.
Once the file opens, tap the 3D Preview image to enter the house.
2. Navigating the 3D Model
The app works just like most touch-screen games or photo apps:
Look Around: Swipe with one finger to rotate your view.
Move / Pan: Swipe with two fingers to move the camera up, down, left, or right without rotating.
Zoom:Pinch two fingers together or apart to zoom in and out.
Teleport:Double-tap on any floor or wall to instantly jump to that spot.
3. Walking Through the House
For the most realistic experience, use Walk Mode:
Tap the Joystick icon (usually in the bottom corner).
Use your left thumb on the virtual joystick to move forward, backward, and sideways.
Use your right thumb anywhere else on the screen to look around.
Note: In this mode, "gravity" is turned on, so you will stay on the floor and walk through doors like a real person.
